1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Account data: name, business name and type, email, phone, address, postcode, and optionally your VAT number and estimated monthly packaging spend.
• Order data: items ordered, delivery addresses, contact details and delivery notes.
• Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and preserves your basket (see the Cookie Policy).
• Correspondence: messages you send us by form, email or phone.

3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

• To process orders, issue invoices and arrange delivery (performance of a contract).
• To run credit checks for 30-day terms, keep accounts, and meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
• To send offers and new-line emails where you have opted in (consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us).
• To secure the website, prevent fraud and rate-limit sign-in attempts (legitimate interests).

4. Who we share it with

Delivery carriers (to deliver your order), our accountants and IT/hosting providers (under contract), credit reference agencies (only when you apply for credit terms), and authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.

5. How long we keep it

Account and order records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, in line with HMRC requirements. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent. Inactive accounts may be deleted after a final notice.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict processing; ask for portability; and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@merantipackaging.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to resolve it first.

8. Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, sessions are protected with HttpOnly Secure cookies, and all traffic to the site is encrypted over HTTPS. Payment card details are never collected by this website.
